At the IDEF 2025 Press Briefing organized by the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye’s Defence Industry Agency (SSB), SSB President Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün met with the press alongside the general managers of leading defense industry organizations.
Speaking at the briefing held at the Defence Industry Agency, HAVELSAN General Manager Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar stated that this year at IDEF, they will showcase their vision for artificial intelligence with the message #futureAIready — “the future is ready.”
Nacar highlighted that they will demonstrate how the high technologies they have developed so far will become even more powerful through artificial intelligence integration. He emphasized that the presentation on their next-generation AI technology MAIN, which they have integrated into the ADVENT Combat Management System as part of a maintenance support assistant, is expected to draw significant interest at IDEF.
He further noted that decision-support mechanisms and hybrid operation environments — involving both manned and unmanned systems — will also be among the key attractions. Nacar continued:
“In the field of e-Maritime, we will showcase our ship navigation system for the first time at IDEF. Another innovation will be in the simulation area, with the ALTAY tank simulator featuring new-generation VR headsets and large screens on display. Under the digital unit concept we’ve developed with unmanned air, land, and sea vehicles, we will present digital operation scenarios for our products BAHA, BARKAN, and SANCAR. We will also debut the concept of using the BAHA unmanned aerial vehicle in an electronic warfare environment — a demonstration we believe will attract considerable attention.”
