Positioned as a protocol-led defence and security platform, AFRIDEX aims to drive meaningful engagement between public sector decision-makers, military organisations and industry stakeholders. The event will feature curated meetings, hosted delegations and strategic conferences focused on strengthening partnerships and advancing defence capabilities across the continent.
As African nations address increasingly complex security challenges across land, maritime, air, cyber and space domains, AFRIDEX will serve as a key forum for collaboration, capability development and long-term resilience building.
“Africa’s defence and security priorities will be defined by Africa’s realities and delivered through African-led action,” said General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd), Honourable Minister of Defence, Federal Republic of Nigeria. “AFRIDEX 2026 is not just an exhibition; it is a strategic convening point to drive alignment on critical capability needs and accelerate partnerships.”
The exhibition is expected to attract a wide range of participants, including defence ministries, security agencies, technology innovators and manufacturers. It will showcase advanced technologies and operational capabilities designed to address evolving security requirements while enabling direct engagement between suppliers and military end users.
Industry stakeholders have welcomed the initiative as a platform to elevate Africa’s defence industrial capabilities and create new opportunities for collaboration and growth. “We must have a platform that showcases what we can do and enables companies to promote their capabilities,” said Major General Abbas (Rtd), Managing Director of Bufalo Engineering and Technical Services Limited.
In addition to the exhibition, AFRIDEX 2026 will feature strategic conferences, networking sessions and live demonstrations across multiple operational domains. The event will also highlight the growing importance of cybersecurity, with dedicated exhibitors focused on protecting critical infrastructure and national assets.
AFRIDEX is expected to play a significant role in supporting Nigeria’s defence industrial base while strengthening international cooperation. The event reflects the country’s ambition to position itself as a hub for defence innovation and regional security collaboration.
With registration now open, defence and security professionals, government representatives and industry stakeholders are invited to participate in what is set to become one of Africa’s leading defence and security exhibitions.
