Air Marshal Jasvir Singh Mann assumed command as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Air Command. He was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour at the Headquarters Southern Air Command on the occasion.

Commissioned in the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force on 16 December 1989, Air Marshal Mann is a graduate of the Defence Services Staff College and the Higher Air Command Course. He is also a postgraduate from the Royal College of Defence Studies, London (UK). A Pilot Attack Instructor, he has accumulated over 3,000 hours of flying experience on a wide range of aircraft, including Apache, MiG-21, Jaguar, MiG-29, Su-30, and Rafale.
In a distinguished career spanning nearly four decades, he has commanded a fighter squadron and served as Air Officer Commanding of a premier fighter base. His key appointments include Air Defence Commander and Senior Officer in charge of Administration at a Command. At Air Headquarters, he has served as Assistant Chief of Air Staff Operations (Offensive) and Director General (Weapon Systems). Prior to this appointment, he was Senior Air Staff Officer at Western Air Command, where he contributed to enhancing joint operational capabilities across multiple domains.
In recognition of his service, Air Marshal Mann has been awarded the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and the Vayu Sena Medal.
He succeeds Air Marshal Manish Khanna, who superannuated on 30 June 2026 after an illustrious career in the Indian Air Force.
