The Brazilian Association of Defense and Security Materials Industries (ABIMDE) concluded its participation at Eurosatory 2026 in Paris, highlighting Brazil’s expanding presence and capabilities in the global defence and security market.

Over five days, ABIMDE coordinated the Brazil Pavilion in partnership with ApexBrasil, with support from the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The pavilion brought together 19 companies, while several other Brazilian firms participated independently, collectively presenting a broad spectrum of national capabilities.

The pavilion witnessed strong engagement throughout the event, with a steady flow of international visitors, including government representatives, armed forces officials, industry leaders and potential partners. Activities included business meetings, product presentations and discussions with global stakeholders.

Participating companies showcased capabilities across defence systems, cybersecurity, communications, ballistic protection, unmanned platforms, logistics and dual-use technologies, reinforcing the diversity and maturity of Brazil’s defence industrial base.

Colonel Antonio Ribeiro, Project Director at ABIMDE, noted the positive outcomes from the event, stating, “As one of the world’s largest defense trade shows comes to a close, ABIMDE’s perception is that several business opportunities were generated for the companies. The Brazilian pavilion was well located, with a layout that enabled showcasing the country, strengthening the Brazil brand at the event, and, at the same time, providing functionality for exhibitors to welcome their visitors. Feedback from exhibitors was positive, with reports of very interesting business possibilities that are expected to gain momentum over the coming weeks.”

Lieutenant-Brigadier Heraldo Luiz Rodrigues, Secretary of Defense Products, highlighted the scale of participation and engagement, stating, “The performance of Brazilian companies at Eurosatory 2026 was significant. We had 19 companies in the Brazil Pavilion, in addition to ABIMDE, and other Brazilian companies exhibiting in their own areas. Activity was well above usual levels, with constant circulation on all days and strong interest in the products of our Defense Industrial Base.”

He further added, “In conversations with the companies involved in the Brazilian exhibition, we received very positive feedback, with reports of negotiations, commercial talks, and memoranda of understanding between companies from the Brazilian Pavilion and foreign partners. SEPROD participated, representing the Ministry of Defense, followed the formalization of understandings between Brazilian and French companies, supported meetings between suppliers and members of the Defense Industrial Base, and fulfilled its role of promoting the institutional engagement necessary for the sector’s expansion.”

Eurosatory 2026 brought together over 2,300 exhibitors from 66 countries and featured 42 national pavilions, providing a global platform for defence collaboration across land, air, naval, space and cyber domains.

With the conclusion of the event, the engagements and connections established in Paris are expected to support future partnerships, commercial developments and continued growth of Brazil’s defence industry.
