The dialogue brought together senior defence officials from both sides, co-chaired by Thailand’s Deputy Permanent Secretary for Defence Admiral Nuttapol Diewvanich and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Government of India Satyajit Mohanty. Discussions covered the full spectrum of bilateral defence cooperation as well as regional and global security developments.
Both countries exchanged views on the evolving security landscape in the Indo-Pacific and reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting peace, stability and prosperity in the region. The delegations reviewed progress in ongoing military engagements, training exchanges, capacity-building initiatives and maritime cooperation.
A key focus area was defence industry collaboration, with both sides exploring opportunities to deepen cooperation in manufacturing, research and innovation. The discussions highlighted the potential for building stronger partnerships between their respective defence ecosystems and advancing capability development.
The dialogue also addressed cooperation within regional and multilateral frameworks, including ASEAN-led mechanisms, underlining the importance of continued engagement to address shared security challenges.
The meeting concluded with both sides outlining future engagements and pathways to further strengthen bilateral defence ties. The discussions build on the elevation of India–Thailand relations to a Strategic Partnership in 2025, reflecting a shared vision for deeper cooperation across defence and security domains.
