Farnborough Airshow Connects Global Capital with Aerospace Innovation

by Aaheli De

Farnborough International Airshow 2026 will bring together more than 600 global finance leaders as part of the Aerospace Global Forum: Finance Summit, a newly introduced platform aimed at connecting international capital with opportunities across aerospace, defence, space, cyber and enabling technologies.

The Finance Summit has been created to strengthen engagement between the financial community and industry stakeholders, providing a dedicated environment for investment dialogue and strategic collaboration. The event is expected to attract over 600 investors representing approximately 350 organisations, including investment banks, sovereign wealth funds, private equity firms, venture capital funds, hedge funds, consultancies and advisory bodies.

Senior representatives are set to attend from a wide range of leading financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Citigroup, Barclays Bank PLC, HSBC, Deutsche Bank and UBS. Participation is also expected from major investment firms such as Blackstone, Carlyle and Warburg Pincus, as well as sovereign wealth funds including Mubadala, Qatar Investment Authority and Temasek International. Additional attendees will include organisations such as the British Business Bank, the London Stock Exchange and UK Export Finance.

“Finance and investment have always been underlying themes of the airshow, but we wanted to give it emphasis to support the industry as it accelerates. The launch of the Finance Summit is our response to the growing demand from investors seeking direct access to high-quality market insight, business development opportunities and emerging innovation across aerospace, defence and space.”
— Gareth Rogers, CEO of Farnborough International

Taking place within the Aerospace Global Forum, the Finance Summit will feature a comprehensive programme including keynote sessions, panel discussions, roundtables and structured networking opportunities. The initiative is designed to connect investors and financial institutions with leading aerospace, defence, security and space organisations, ranging from established global primes to emerging start-ups.

Attendees have identified access to market insights, new business partnerships, engagement with existing partners and visibility of upcoming projects as key drivers for participation.

The introduction of the Finance Summit further reinforces Farnborough International Airshow’s role as a global platform where capital meets innovation, supporting long-term industry growth and enabling companies to access the investment and partnerships needed to scale.
