Liebherr-Aerospace will showcase its latest technologies for civil and military aviation at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, taking place from July 20–24. The company will exhibit innovations including modular electromechanical actuators, decentralized hydraulic supply solutions, electrical environmental control systems and advanced landing gear technologies.

The display highlights Liebherr’s continued investment in research and technology to support more efficient and sustainable aviation through advancements in electrification, thermal management, additive manufacturing and digitalization.
“We are looking forward to joining Farnborough Airshow again this year. Decades of expertise in designing and integrating environmental control and thermal management systems, flight control and actuation, landing gear, as well as signal and power electronics, position us as a key partner for aircraft manufacturers,” stated Alex Vlielander, Chief Customer Officer at Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS. “Building on our core strengths, we constantly push the boundaries of what is currently achievable. Our advancements in electrification, additive manufacturing, and other innovative technologies will make a substantial impact.”
Among the highlights is Liebherr’s expanded portfolio of electromechanical actuators (EMAs), including a modular concept for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), business jets, helicopters and smaller aircraft. The company will also display a 1:6 scale operational model of the Boeing 777-9 folding wing tip mechanism, showcasing key components engineered and produced by Liebherr.
The exhibition will feature the first additively manufactured hydraulic valve block to enter series production for the Airbus A350 lower cargo door actuation system, alongside an air-liquid heat exchanger and a vapor cycle compressor for advanced aircraft thermal management.
Liebherr will also present technologies supporting more-electric aircraft, including advanced electromechanical actuators, the Highly Efficient Power Pack (HEPP), a 100-kW motorized turbo compressor and its dedicated motor control unit. The Airbus A220 main landing gear system, designed to improve efficiency through reduced weight, reliability and maintainability, will also be on display.
Liebherr’s solutions ensure efficient and reliable operation of military aircraft across diverse mission profiles. A particular highlight at Farnborough Airshow is the interactive slider exhibit, which showcases Liebherr’s contribution to the Eurofighter Typhoon program.
