HAVELSAN’s ADVENT Combat Management System (CMS) has officially entered service with the Romanian Navy, marking its first operational deployment within a NATO member state. The delivery was completed as part of the transfer of the CAm.ROMAN corvette, with ADVENT now in active use by the Romanian Naval Forces.
Developed in close cooperation with the Turkish Navy, ADVENT introduces a force-oriented operational approach that connects multiple naval platforms through a shared operational picture. Rather than functioning as a system limited to a single vessel, it enables coordinated fleet operations, enhancing situational awareness and operational efficiency.
The system supports a wide range of mission-critical capabilities, including command and control, threat evaluation, decision support, target detection, and sensor and weapon management. These features allow commanders to make faster and more informed decisions during complex maritime operations.
Designed for multi-domain operations, ADVENT can function across surface, subsurface and air environments. Its architecture enables integration across a wide range of platforms, from patrol vessels and major surface combatants to shore-based command centres. The system has also been extended to unmanned naval operations through the ADVENT ROTA Mission Management System, further expanding its operational scope.
With a modular design, ADVENT can be configured to meet different operational requirements and platform needs. It also supports interoperability with allied forces through various operational protocols, ensuring compatibility in joint and multinational missions.
Already in service across 10 countries on four continents, ADVENT continues to gain international traction. The Romanian deployment extends its presence into NATO, complementing its existing footprint across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and South America.
HAVELSAN is continuing to enhance the system with new capabilities, including the development of an AI-supported version, ADVENT AI, while preparing additional configurations for future international users. The Romanian Navy programme marks a significant milestone, reinforcing the system’s growing global adoption and HAVELSAN’s position in advanced naval combat management systems.
