The Indian pavilion, organized by Munitions India Limited (MIL), was inaugurated at the Future Forces Exhibition and Forum 2024, a premier event dedicated to defence and security innovation. The opening was officiated by Raveesh Kumar, the Indian Ambassador to the Czech Republic. This exhibition serves as a crucial platform for showcasing cutting-edge defence solutions and fostering partnerships among global stakeholders in the defence sector.
“I urge all exhibitors to prioritize partnerships that drive strategic innovation. Seek out collaborators and explore opportunities for establishing strong alliances that promote business growth,” said Raveesh Kumar in his inaugural speech. Prakash Agarwal, Director, Finance and additional charge of Director operations; Deepak Deshmukh, General Manager, MIL; Sunil Kumar Sapare, General Manager, MIL; B.R. Anilkumar, General Manager, MIL were present at the ceremony.
Taking place from October 16 to 18 at the PVA EXPO PRAGUE exhibition centre, this year’s Future Forces Exhibition features over 320 exhibitors from 35 countries, spread across six exhibition halls. Notable participants include national pavilions from Denmark, France, Hungary, Slovakia, and Ukraine, along with dedicated thematic sections such as the Cyber Pavilion, Command & Control (C2) Pavilion, and Innovation Pavilion.
As India’s largest ammunition manufacturer under the Ministry of Defence, MIL employs 22,500 personnel across 12 advanced manufacturing units. With a legacy spanning over 150 years, the company produces a diverse range of military and civilian explosives. Established in 2021 as part of the restructuring of the Ordnance Factory Board, MIL is committed to delivering high-quality, reliable defence products and plays a crucial role in enhancing indigenous defence production.
Among the exhibitors are key industry players such as the Czechoslovak Group (including Tatra Trucks, Excalibur Army, and Tatra Defence Vehicle), the Military Technical Institute with French manufacturer ARQUUS, Glomex Military Supplies with Canadian armored vehicle manufacturer Roshel, BAE Systems, and others presenting innovative solutions like the Bushmaster armored vehicle alongside Thales Australia.
