Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. and its U.S. subsidiary, Rafael USA Inc., are showcasing a comprehensive portfolio of advanced defense solutions at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting & Exposition 2025.
At this year’s event, Rafael highlights two major milestones – the Iron Beam high-energy laser air defense system and the L-SPIKE 4X Launched Effect, unveiled publicly for the first time.
Iron Beam, developed in cooperation with the Israeli Ministry of Defense, is the world’s first operational high-energy laser air defense system, capable of intercepting rockets, mortars, and unmanned aerial vehicles. Having completed full-scale development, the system is slated for delivery to the Israel Defense Forces. Iron Beam represents a significant leap in sustainable, cost-effective air defense and forms part of Rafael’s multi-layered defense architecture.
Rafael’s air defense display also includes the Tamir interceptor from the Iron Dome system and the Stunner interceptor from David’s Sling, both combat-proven and operationally deployed. Together with Iron Beam, these systems form a continuous, layered defense envelope that provides seamless protection against short-, medium-, and long-range aerial threats.
Also debuting at AUSA, the L-SPIKE 4X introduces a new generation of precision-strike capability within the SPIKE missile family. Designed as a Launched Effect, L-SPIKE 4X delivers extended endurance, multi-mode guidance, and autonomous target acquisition offering tactical commanders precision firepower on demand and enhanced survivability in contested environments.
In addition to these highlights, Rafael’s display features integrated Force Protection, Precision Strike, and Advanced Electro-Optics portfolios — demonstrating the company’s system-of-systems approach to modern, multi-domain operations.

LAND MANEUVER OVERMATCH
For the land domain, RAFAEL will feature TROPHY®, the world’s first and only operational Active Protection System for armored vehicles.
