Saudi Arabia Kicks Off Multinational ‘Spears of Victory 2026’ Exercise

Saudi Arabia has commenced the multinational Spears of Victory 2026 military exercise at the Air Warfare Center, reinforcing its role as a leading regional power and its commitment to strengthening military cooperation.

Led by the Royal Saudi Air Force, the exercise began on January 18 and will run till February 5. It features wide regional and international participation and focuses on enhancing joint operational integration among participating forces.

The exercise brings together various branches of Saudi Arabia’s armed forces, the Ministry of the National Guard, the Presidency of State Security, and the Unified Military Command of the Gulf Cooperation Council, alongside military forces from several regional and international countries.

Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Omari, Commander of the Air Warfare Center, said the exercise aims to enhance combat readiness, promote the exchange of expertise in planning and execution, and unify concepts of joint military action among participating forces. He noted that the drills are designed to address current and emerging threats while advancing tactical capabilities and joint operational strategies.

Participating forces are carrying out joint and combined tactical operations that simulate contemporary and future threats, with a strong emphasis on multi-domain joint air operations in an advanced electronic warfare environment.

The exercise is being conducted at the Air Warfare Center in the eastern sector of Saudi Arabia, one of the region’s most advanced training facilities, offering a highly realistic environment to support the development and evaluation of combat capabilities.

Through Spears of Victory 2026, Saudi Arabia is further reinforcing its position as a regional security anchor and a key convener of multinational military cooperation, strengthening interoperability and collective readiness in the face of evolving security challenges.
