Astute Group Appointed as Quantum Dice European Distributor for QRNG chip products

Astute Group has signed a strategic distribution agreement with Oxford University spin-out, Quantum Dice, a pioneering provider of quantum random number generator (QRNG) technology

Global electronics distributor and supply chain partner, Astute Group, and Quantum Dice, a University of Oxford spin-out pioneering quantum random number generator (QRNG) technology, have announced a strategic global distribution partnership.

As part of the agreement, Astute Group has joined Quantum Dice’s authorised partner programme and will accelerate access to its DISC™-protected QRNG chip products, focusing on sectors with high security requirements, including aerospace, defence-grade systems, government, and critical infrastructure. This collaboration is especially timely considering the recently published UK Strategic Defence Review.

At the core of Quantum Dice’s QRNG products is its patented source-device independent self-certification (DISC™) protocol, which provides continuous quantum assurance and takes the protection against hardware attacks and silent failure to a new level. The live entropy measurement enabled by the DISC™ protocol provides a unique ability for users to verify and quantify the security of their encryption keys in real-time.

Quantum Dice’s chip-based QRNGs deliver measurable and monitorable entropy that meets the cryptographic needs of modern defence, including Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) systems. This makes the technology particularly suited to national security and defence applications, where certifiable, resilient key generation is critical. The chips are designed for low-power, compact integration into high-assurance modules and are engineered to operate reliably even under extreme environmental conditions — including in space.

“This technology fits the UK government-backed initiative aimed at enhancing cybersecurity resilience. We’re looking forward to taking this pioneering QRNG technology to our customers in defence, aerospace, and space,” said Andrew Parker, Technical BDM, Astute Group.

George Dunlop, Co-Founder and Director of Partnerships, said, “Partnering with Astute enables us to deliver verifiable randomness to critical sectors worldwide—laying a quantum-ready foundation for long-term security. Their global reach accelerates access of our DISC™-enabled solutions, essential for securing mission-critical systems in defence, aerospace, and national infrastructure.”

This partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of DISCTM QRNG technology across high-integrity sectors and empower Astute Group’s customers with verifiably trusted and secure randomness, ensuring long-term robust security in today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape.
