EURONAVAL 2024: The International Naval Defense Exhibition started at Paris

The EURONAVAL exhibition opened its doors on Monday November 4th at Paris Nord Villepinte, where it will welcome naval defense professionals from all over the world until November 7th. For this year’s show, the organizers are once again presenting an exclusive study of the world shipbuilding industry. This unique report offers a comprehensive, up-to-date analysis of the world’s fleets and orders for ships and submarines, confirming EURONAVAL’s role as a global benchmark for the sector.

This first day was marked by a warm and convivial inauguration, presided over by Pierre Eric Pommellet, CEO of Naval Group, Chairman of GICAN and President of Euronaval, Admiral Nicolas Vaujour, Chief of Staff of the French Navy, and Emmanuel Chiva, General Delegate of Armement. The speakers underlined the growing complexity of maritime issues in a tense geopolitical context, and highlighted major technological advances in naval innovation, consolidating EURONAVAL’s position as one of the leading showcases for the naval technologies of the future.

Numerous political and institutional decision-makers also honoured the first day of the show with their presence. The French Minister of the Armed Forces, Mr. Sébastien Lecornu, visited several stands, including those of Naval Group, MBDA and the Ministry of the Armed Forces.

The show also welcomed the Prime Minister of Romania, Mr. Ion-Marcel Ciolacu, accompanied by the Romanian Defense Minister, Mr. Angel Tîlvăr, and the Portuguese Defense Minister, Mr. Nuno Melo.
