Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), a leader in the design and construction of naval and commercial vessels, held a keel laying ceremony for its new 45-metre Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV), the RABDAN FA-400. This event marks a significant milestone in the vessel’s development, symbolizing the official commencement of the build process and reaffirming ADSB’s commitment to delivering advanced naval vessels entirely designed and built in the UAE.
The RABDAN FA-400 is the latest addition to ADSB’s product line, featuring full intellectual property (IP) ownership and constructed entirely within the UAE. Engineered for exceptional seakeeping capabilities, this vessel is suited for a variety of missions, including military operations, search and rescue, surveillance, and coastal patrol.
The OPV will be showcased at NAVDEX 2025, providing an opportunity to demonstrate its advanced capabilities to key stakeholders in the maritime defence sector.
This ceremony not only initiates the construction of the RABDAN FA-400 but also underscores ADSB’s mission to enhance the UAE’s maritime security and operational readiness with state-of-the-art naval vessels.
