KNDS Demonstrates Long-Range Firing Capabilities in Poland

In late September, KNDS successfully showcased the long-range firing capabilities of the CAESAR 8×8 artillery system at the Ustka firing range, achieving distances beyond 42 kilometers using KNDS Ammo 155mm rounds. This demonstration underscores KNDS’ technical expertise in optimizing cannon-ammunition pairing to enhance range, precision, and terminal efficiency.

Poland is poised to become a key partner in future ammunition production, leveraging its robust industrial assets. KNDS aims to support local development of 155mm ammunition by offering its comprehensive expertise, which includes manufacturing shells, propellant, fuzes, and primers. The effectiveness and accuracy of KNDS Ammo have been validated through their use in Ukraine, where they have proven successful with various 155mm / 52 caliber self-propelled howitzers, including the PzH 2000, K9, and Archer.

With over 600 CAESAR self-propelled 155mm / 52 cal. howitzers delivered or in production, and a comprehensive range of 155mm ammunition widely used on a diverse set of howitzers in service within NATO, the artillery solutions offered by KNDS are the most combat proven, and have demonstrated both their relevance and performance in high intensity operations.

As a result, KNDS is confident in its ability to support Poland’s artillery ammunition development programs, aiming to strengthen Europe’s Eastern flank and enhance overall regional resilience.
