EOS Defence Systems (EOS) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Shielders Advanced Industries, a specialist in metal processing, profiling, and fabrication based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This strategic agreement was formalised at the recent Ajban Defence Industry and Technology Exhibition in the UAE, signifying a major milestone in the defence manufacturing sector.
This partnership aims to combine the expertise of both parties to form a joint venture, focusing on enhancing the UAE’s defence capabilities and contributing to its economic growth.
EOS will bring its world-leading remote weapon system (RWS) design and production technology to the UAE, while Shielders Advanced Industries will provide its manufacturing facilities, fabrication, and processing expertise.
EOS’ RWS are world-leading, having been proven operationally and are in use with militaries from Australia, North America, Europe, and South-East Asia. Renowned for their accuracy and reliability, EOS has sold over 2,500 systems globally.

The joint venture will initially focus on manufacturing the lightweight R150 RWS, with an emphasis on using local capabilities and a strong UAE sovereign supply chain.
