Saudi Arabia: Al-Duailej Honours Airports that Won Annual Awards for Excellence in Aviation Security

Riyadh: The President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, honoured the airports that won the annual Excellence Award in the field of civil aviation security.

The ones that has achieved the highest compliance rate (for security audits) for the year 2021, at GACA’s headquarters in the capital city of Riyadh.

King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh won the Excellence Award for airports in category (A), whose number of passengers exceeds 5 million passengers annually.

Meanwhile, Taif International Airport won the award for category (B) for airports with more than one million passengers annually, while Bisha Airport won the award for category (C) for airports that have less than one million passengers annually.

It is noteworthy that this honor reflects GACA’s appreciation for the efforts made to raise the percentage of compliance with security standards, which come in compliance with the National Civil Aviation Security Program during the annual security audits for the year 2021.
